Scaling Back to Scale UP

Day 16 of 90.
8 pounds down, many more to go!

Scaling Back
My overarching goal this week is to scale back. That’s scaling back on food, portion sizes, commitments, and conversation.

I have been stretching myself too thin and it has been wearing on me mentally, emotionally, and physically.  Each day last week lasted 18 to 20 hours long – but I have little to show for it. My workouts and meal preparation time was obliterated by other projects and meetings. So, this week I am scaling back so that I can make sure I am hitting the basics.

Scaling Up to the Challenge

This past weekend, I went to the fruit and vegetable market. What I found is that, after I filled up my refrigerator with fruit and vegetables, I didn’t have much room for much else. My trip to the grocery store was quick since I just had to pick up a little protein. A friend, working on her own healthy eating cookbook, has given me an eating plan. I have a gym membership that offers great classes and hours to workout. I have lost weight before; I know how to succeed. I have what I need to scale up to this challenge I have set for myself. Now it’s just time to do it!

  • Thanks!! I have to keep reminding myself! You know working out and eating healthy is the first thing to get tossed out of the to-do list...or at least that's how it used to be:)
