National Voter Registration Day is more than just a date on the calendar—it’s a reminder of the sacrifices made and the power we hold when we raise our voices through the ballot. On September 16, 2025, Elbert Williams Voting Corner is proud to stand as a community partner in this nationwide effort to ensure every eligible voter is registered and ready to make an impact.

Elbert Williams, one of the first martyrs of the Civil Rights Movement, gave his life in 1940 for the right to vote. His legacy reminds us that voter registration is not just paperwork—it’s a continuation of the struggle for dignity, equality, and justice.

By registering, updating your information, and showing up at the polls, you honor his memory and the countless others who fought for our right to be heard. This National Voter Registration Day, take action for yourself, your family, and your community—because democracy works best when we all participate.
