What is RE: CLAIM??

RE: CLAIM {Rooted Exhibition: Community~Love~Abundance~Intergenerational~Multiplicity} project is a collective of artists, advocates, and movement builders who seek to honor the complexity and diversity of the community impact of the criminal legal system as it affects youth, adults, and families.

ICPJ (Interfaith Council for Peace & Justice) is hosting a community conversation called “What If We Were All Free” on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 5:30-9 pm. Leslie McGraw will be sharing some poetry during the event and helping with the planning.

Leslie McGraw is a Michigan poet, social media activist, and creative inspiration of the Bookbound Open Mc & Share Poetry Series (2013-2020) and Life By Poetry online community (www.lifebypoetry.tumblr.com). Her essay, “Roses Come in Black, Too” was published in the As/Us Women of the World Journal. Leslie has received the 2022 Black Fire This Time Summer Fellowship by Willow Books. The 2nd edition of her debut poetry collection, “Emergencies of the Heart” is set to be released in September 2022
